The spinner is a circle and the three sectors are congruent with means that each sector has the same area. The formula for the area of a sector is\
A = (1/2) r² θ
We are given with
r = 3 in
θ = 120°
Converting degrees to radians
θ = 120° (π/180°)
θ = 2π/3

Solving for the area
A = (1/2) (3)² (2π/3)
A = 3π ≈ 9.24 in²
