You are given a soda can with a volume of 15 and a diameter of 2. You are asked what is the volume of a cone that fits perfectly inside the soda can.

Soda can is shaped like a cylinder so V =
\pi(d²/4)h and the cone is V =
\pi(d²/12)h.

15 =
\pi(2²/4)h
h = 4.77

V =
\pi(2²/12)(4.77) since the cone and the cylinder have the same base and height
V = 5
