Final answer:

The question is about identifying which ordered pairs satisfy the linear equation y = 7x. After evaluating, the only correct ordered pair from the given options is c (12, 84), assuming there are no typos in the problem statement.

Step-by-step explanation:

The question asks which of the given ordered pairs satisfy the linear equation y = 7x. To determine if an ordered pair (x, y) satisfies the equation, we substitute the x-value from the pair into the equation and check if the resulting y-value equals the y-value in the pair.

(84, 12) does not satisfy the equation because 7*84 is not equal to 12.

(42, 7) does not satisfy because 7*42 is not equal to 7.

(12, 84) satisfies the equation because 7*12 equals 84.

(84, 588) satisfies the equation because 7*84 equals 588. However, this pair is not listed, so it's likely there is a typo in the problem statement, perhaps meant to be (84, 588) instead of (84, 14).

(6, 42) does not satisfy because 7*6 is not equal to 42.

(42, 6) does not satisfy because 7*42 is not equal to 6.

Therefore, the only ordered pair given in the list that satisfies the equation y = 7x is c (12, 84), assuming there are no typos in the options provided.

So you have many ordered pairs here that look like (x , y) So you take each one, for example (84,12) and plug it into that equation you have y=7x (84 , 12) means (x = 84, y = 12 ) so we plug those in 12=7(84) Does that come out true? if it doe...we have a solution..if not...obviously not :)
