Sailin Steve likes to test the buoyancy of different objects. He threw a spherical object into a fluid that has a greater density than the object does. He also threw a square object into the fluid that has a greater density than the fluid. Predict which object will float best.

Spherical object floats because the fluid density is larger than the object density. The square object could be made ti float if it was shaped like a boat but if it was just a square lamina it would sink.
