BIO EXPERTS!!!! very confused!

In a population of a plant species, 225 plants are tall, while 26 are short. The height of the plant is controlled by a single gene, and only two alleles are present in this population:T (tall) and t (short), with t being recessive to T. The table below shows the number of short and tall plants over the next several generations:

Generation_Tall Plants (T)_Short Plants (t)
|____1____|____225____|____26_____|
|____2____|____275____|____28_____|
|____3____|____233____|____23_____|
|____4____|____281____|_____21_____|
|____5____|____295____|____18_____|

1. Using the Hardy-Weinberg equation, is evolution occurring in this population? Explain your answer.
2. Describe how an increase in competition for sunlight would affect the frequency of T and t over time.

1. Reason is because the plant T - tall is dominance within the option was given. The plant will be in dominant as always unless introduce with a Tt and tt which is short plant. The chances are easily able to change but other then that it's a very slim chance to get a short plant in the generation graph.

2. The adaptations would change drastically because tall plants have an advantage of capturing more light since they are above ground a little bit higher then short plants. Which enventually the changes will change to tall plants as each generation goes by short plant dies and not able to reproduce.

Answer: is seen below.

Step-by-step explanation:

1) No, evolution is not occuring on this population, this is because the plant T - tall is dominance within the values that was given. This will continue to occur unless introduce with a Tt and tt which is short plant to get a short plant in the generation graph.

2. An increase in competition for sunlight would affect the frequency of T and t over time in that, tall plants have an advantage of capturing more light since they are above ground a bit higher then short plants. As each generation goes by short plant are not able to reproduce and dies with time due to inability to get more sunlight .this would change their adaptation drastically.
