Answer is 2 3/5. So your problem is 6 - 3 2/5. Change 3 2/5 into an improper fraction. 3 x 5 + 2= 17 (to find an improper fraction multiply denominator by whole number and add numerator). Improper fraction= 17/5. 6 is 30/5 as an improper fraction. So do 30/5- 17/5 which is 13/5. As a mixed number this is 2 3/5
