Tell whether the lines for each pair of equations are parallel, perpendicular, or neither.

y = (-1/4 )x + 8

–2x + 8y = 4

A.parallel

B.perpendicular

C.neither

The first equation is already solved, the slope is -1/4

The second equation you need to rearranged the numbers..

-2x+8y=4
8y=2x+4 now divide by 8
Y=4x+2

Which makes the answer perpendicular because they are both different signs and are swapped.
