By following the order of operations, or PEMDAS, you'll get the right answer.

PEMDAS:
(P)arenthesis
(E)xponent
(M)ultiplication
(D)ivision
(A)ddition
(S)ubtraction

To memorize:
(P)lease (E)xcuse (M)y (D)ear (A)unt (S)ally

In the equation 6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2)...

Do the problem in the (P)arenthesis first.
(1 + 2) is equal to 3.

6 ÷ 2 (3)

Next, since there's no (E)xponents, do (M)ultiplication.
2 (3) = 2 x 3 = 6.

6 ÷ 6

Finally, do (D)ivision.

6 ÷ 6 = 1
.

The answer is 1.

6÷2(1+2)
Parenthesis first so 1+2 is 3
6 / 2(3)
now multiply
2x3 is 6

6/6 is 1
