Using the porpotions: WHIP= (Walks+Hits) divide by Innings Pitched. A pitcher allowed 26 walks and 104 hits in 85 innings pitched. What is his WHIP? Round your answer to the nearest hundreth.

(walks + hits) / innings pitched....

(26 + 104) / 85 = 130 / 85 = 1.529 rounds to 1.53 <== WHIP
