147/100*11361/100 and solve by multiplying straight across.

Answer: Hello mate!

this multiplication can be hard because of the numbers after the decimal point. You could use the next trick.

14.7*10 = 147 and 11.361*1000 = 11361

now you could do the multiplication without concerning about the decimals, and afther that divide it back by 10*1000.

and
14.7*11.361 = (147)/(10)*(11361)/(1000) = (147*11361)/(10*1000)  = (147*11361)/(10000) = (1670067)/(10000)

now you need to divide by 10000, that is equivalent to move the decimal point by 4 ) places to the left.

1670067/10000 = 167.0067
