circumerence=2πr or 2 times π times radius
we want to find diameter which is 2 times of radius

c=2(πr) using the associative property we can do 2(πr)=(2)(π)(r)=(π)(2r) and 2r=diameter so
πd=circumference
c=πd
9.42=πd
π≈3.14
9.42=(3.14)(d)
divide both sides by 3.14
3=d
diameter=3 feet

\text{circumference} = \pi * \text{diameter}

\implies \text{diameter} = \frac{\text{circumference}}{\pi}

= (9.42)/(3.14)

= 3\text{feet}
