Gail and her 3 friends all share half a pie. Gail and her friends each eat an equal - sized piece.They believe each piece has an angle equal to 25°. Are their calculations correct? Explain.

No. Their calculations are not correct.

Assuming the pie is circular in shape, half of a pie would be 180° (since a full circle/pie is 360°).
Gail and her 3 friends (so 4 people in total) share the half-pie and have an equal slice. We can find out what angle each slice is by dividing 180° (half-pie) by 4 (people).

180° ÷ 4 = 45°. Therefore their calculations aren't correct. I hope the pie was good though. :)

yes because if the pie was split into 8 peaces of pie then they ate 4 peaces so you would dived 50 by 4 then you get 25
