Well, what I do is actually substitute in numbers. So what I did was x= 3 and made then did the subtraction. Afterwards I got x = 0. Since x= w+4 you would want to subtract four to get the distance. Afterwards you get 3 (x) is ? than w= - 4 and thats 7 (7 is the answer)
