the scale is 1 : 4 , so for every 1 cm there is 4 km

So you take 16 cm and multiply it by 4

So the Answer is 64 cm

Answer:

64 kilometers between the cities.

Explanation:

To calculate this you just have to do a rule of three between the rate of 1cm: 4 kilometers, with the distance of the 16 centimeters that they are apart in the map with the next equation:

(1cm)/(4km)= (16cm)/(x)\\ x=(4km*16cm)/(1cm)\\ x=(64km*cm)/(1cm)\\ x=64 km

So the answer is that the cities will be 64 kilometers apart from one another in reality.
