How do you convert slope intercept form into standerd form

this is the slope intercept form y=mx+b and this is the standard form ax+by=c, now I am going to show you how to do this with numbers so is much easier. Say we have 4x+2y=10 as a standard form we have to set y by itself first we have to subtract 4x from both sides (because in order to get rid of a positive you have to use a negative) now we have 2y=-4x+10, now our next step is to divide both sides by 2 to leave y by itself (because in order to get rid of a multiplication is with a division) this gives you y=-4/2x+10/2. now our final step is to simplify what we can in this case 4 can be divide by 2 and get 2 and 10 can be divide by 2 and get 5 this means our simplified form is y=-2x+5
