Slope intercept form: y = mx + b

m = slope

b = y-intercept.

We have m which is -2

y = -2x + b

We need to find the y-intercept so plug 6 for x and 7 for y (6,7)

7 = -2 * 6 + b

7 = -12 + b

19 = b

Now put b in the equation

y = -2x + 19

The slope-intercept form is expressed as y = mx + b where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept. To be able to write the given information, into this form, we use the point slope form. We do as follows:

y − y1 = m(x − x1)
y − 7 = -2(x − 6)
y - 7 = -2x + 6
y = -2x +13
