A gas occupies 200 mL at -73.0°C. To have the same gas occupy 300 mL, should the temperature be increased or decreased?

What is the new temperature in Kelvins? K

The volume of the gas has increased and temperature and volume are directly proportional, thus, the temperature of the gas must also have increased.
We can use the relationship:
V/T = constant

V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂
200 / (-73 + 273) = 300 / T₂
= 300 K
