The equation that needs to be factorized is

3x^2 - 14x + 8 = 3x^2 - 12x - 2x + 8
= 3x(x - 4) - 2(x - 4)
= (3x - 2)(x - 4)

I hope that the procedure is clear enough for you to understand. I also hope that this is the answer that you were looking for and the answer has actually come to your desired help.
