Let

y------> one number

x-----> another number

we know that

y=2x-3 ------> equation A

x+y=39 ------> equation B

substitute equation A in equation B

x+[2x-3]=39

3x=39+3

x=42/3=14

Find the value of y

y=2*14-3=25

the numbers are
25 and
14

therefore

the answer is the option B

y=2x-3 and
x+y=39
