So you have to make it so that y is on one side
So,
-4x = 16 + 2y
Add 2y to both sides
-4x - 16 = 2y
Subtract 16 from both sides
-2x - 8 = y
Divide by 2 so that y is alone
So plug in the multiple choice questions
(-4, 0)
-2(-4) - 8 = 0
8 - 8 = 0
The Answer is A
