The central angle of the shaded sector is 10 degrees.

By formula,


\begin{gathered} \text{Area of Sector=}(\theta)/(360)*\pi r^2 \\ \\ 16\pi=(\theta)/(360)*\pi*24^2 \\ \text{Cross multiply, we get} \\ 24^2*\pi*\theta=16*\pi*360 \\ \theta=(16*\pi*360)/(24^2*\pi)=10^o \end{gathered}
