static stretching- is used to stretch your muscles at full rest it is composed of various techniques that gradually lengthen a muscle at a elongated position.

Static Stretching is used commonly to prevent any rips and or tears in the muscles. After your body is pumped with warm blood from a workout, static stretching can help to loosen the muscles to prevent any more damage.
