two trains leave a station at the same time, one traveling west at a rate of 60 km per hour, and the other heading east at 55 km per hour. in how many hours will they be 460 km apart?

you need to know the time and distance rate. so time (t) = Distance(D)/rate =
440/115 = 4 hours
