Last year Preston contributed $125 toward his 401(k) account each month. If his employer matched 14% of his contributions, what was the total amount contributed to the 401(k) at the end of the year?

125x1.14=142.5
142.5x12=1710

The reason I put 1.14 is because it is the percentage of Preston's contributions that go into the account as a decimal.

Hope this helps :)
