Answer

Find the degree measure of arc HJ.

To prove

By using the formula

Angle\ formed\ outside = (1)/(2) (Difference\ of\ intercepted\ arcs)

i.e

\angle HOJ =(1)/(2)(98^(\circ) - measure\ of\ arc\ HJ. )

As ∠HOJ = 27°

Put in the above equation

27^(\circ)=(1)/(2)(98^(\circ) - measure\ of\ arc\ HJ. )

27° × 2 = 98° - measure of arc HJ

54° = 98° - measure of arc HJ.

measure of arc HJ = 98° - 54°

measure of arc HJ = 44°

Therefore the option (C) is correct.
