Distance from J to K is :---


\sqrt{ {(- 3 + 8)}^(2) + {(5 + 7)}^(2)} \\ = \sqrt{ {5}^(2) + {12}^(2) } \\ = √(25 + 144) \\ = √(169) \\ = \boxed{13}

A. 13 units is the right answer.
