Answer:

Ratio defined as a relationship between two numbers indicating how many times the first number contains the second.

i.e, a to b = a : b

Given the statement: Pam takes 45 minutes to drive to work and 60 minutes to drive home from work.

⇒ Time Pam takes to drive from home to work = 45 minutes

and

Time Pam spends to drive from work to home = 60 minutes

By definition of Ratio:

Ratio = (Time Pam Spends driving home from work)/(Time Pam spends driving to work )

then;

Ratio =(60)/(45)=(12)/(9)= (4)/(3)

Therefore, the ratio of time Pam spends driving home from work to the time she spends driving to work in three different ways are;

60 : 45

12 : 9 and

4 : 3
