we have

2x^2-5x+2=0

using the formula to solve quadratic equations

we have

a=2

b=-5

c=2

substitute in the formula

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{5\pm\sqrt[\square]{-5^2-4(2)(2)}}{2(2)} \\ \\ x=\frac{5\pm\sqrt[\square]{9}}{4} \\ \\ x=(5\pm3)/(4) \end{gathered}

therefore

the solutions are

x=2

x=1/2
