Need help! solve for the given variable
-5x - 7x = -6(4x + 4) + 4(7x + 2)

x=1
distribute -6 to 4x and 4
distribute 4 to 7x and 2
combine -5x and -7x which equals -12x
at this point you have...
-12x = -24x -24 + 28x + 8
simplify that to get...
-12x= 4x - 16
subtract 4x from both sides...
-16x= -16
divide both sides by -16 to get...
x=1
