. Ashley has two buckets filled with water. The large bucket contains 36 gallons and isleaking at a rate of 0.12 gallons per hour. The small bucket contains 12 gallons and isleaking at a rate of 0.6 gallons per hour.Which inequality can be used to find the number of hours, h, at which the largerbucket will have less water than the smaller bucket?

let the rate of change of the bucket be expressed as:

Rate of leakage= amount of gallons/Time taken

for the large bucket:

amount of gallons = 36

rate of leakage = 0.12 gallons/hr

From the formula:

Time taken = amount of gallons//rate of leakage

Time taken = 36/0.12

Time taken = 300hr

for the small bucket:

amount of gallons = 12

rate of leakage = 0.6 gallons/hr

From the formula:

Time taken = amount of gallons//rate of leakage

Time taken = 12/0.6

Time taken = 20 hrs

we can see that the larger bucket is leaking 28
