Todd deposit = $100

amount spent on dinner every day = $5

Seth deposit = $140

He spent total of $5 + $5 = $10 everyday

Let

the number of days = x


\begin{gathered} 100-5x=140-10x \\ 100-140=-10x+5x \\ -40=-5x \\ x=(-40)/(-5) \\ x=8 \end{gathered}
