you can break it up the ratios and redistribute them like this. 8+7+5=20
Break up 1000$ in 20 parts
1000/20=50$
Now you multiply each ratio by 50 dollars to find out how much each one earned.
50*8=400$
50*7=350$
50*5=250$
205+350+400=1000 dollars
