Companionship is the state of being friends. It is a closeness or familiarity, a true fellowship among people who for some reason feel connected. It may refer to life-long partners. You may experience companionship with your best friend or romantic partner, or maybe even with your siblings. A feeling of fellowship or togetherness is companionship.

the different types of companionship may include lovers, platonic relationships, acquaintances, friends, soul-mates, team mates, family

Well, there's camaraderie, which I believe is a relationship with brothers-in-arms (army, navy people, etc), obviously romantic relationships, platonic relationships, etc..
