The India Gate, that is located near New Delhi, is a memorial to over 80,000 soldiers who gave their lives during World War 1, fighting throughout the world, from France to Persia to Africa. It has over 13,000 names carved in, even including some British soldiers who helped during the war. In recent years, it's also served as a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, following the Bangladesh Liberation War.
