yes because a factor is a number which can be x another number to make = 72 or other number ( not sure of official name )
6 can be x 12 and = 72 so yes that is right
Other factors are 2 and 36 because 2 x 36
Do you get it now?

a factor is a counting number that can be multiplied by another counting number and get the desired number so for exg.
2 times 3=6
2 and 3 are factors of 6
72=2*3*3*2*2
6=2*3
we can see a '2*3' in the factors of 72 so 6 is a factor of 72
BTW 6*12=72
