SOLUTION

From the given image, we can see that.

|AC| = |AB| + |BC|

77 = (x + 16 ) + (4x + 11)

77 = x + 16 + 4x +11

77 = x + 4x + 16 + 11

77 = 5x + 27

By collecting like terms, we have

77 - 27 = 5x

50 = 5x

By rearranging the position we have.

5x = 50

x = 50/5

x = 10

But Line |AB| = x + 16 ------------------------------------equation (1)

so, we will need to substitute the value of x into
