X=-20 because subtract 17 from -103 and you get -120. Divide -120 by 6x and it gives you -20

-103 = 6x + 17
Subtract 17 from both sides
-120= 6x
Divide 6 on both sides so that the only thing remaining on the right side is the variable x.
Final Answer: -20
