I'm going to try to make this simple, so work with me lol. The golden ratio is when you take a line and split it into two parts. Let's say there's a part A and a part B, with one of those lines being longer. For example, say your line is 55 inches long. Now say part A is 34 inches and part B is 21 inches. What you'll do is set it up as follows: 34/21 = 55/34. So 34/21 = 1.619047619 and 55/34 = 1.619047619. That still seems kind of confusing. I tried.
