4x+2=3x need help dont know what to do on this

You need to subtract the 4x from both sides of the equation. so then you're left with 2=-1x because you subtracted 4 from 3 you have a negative 1. so after you've done that and you have the 2=-1x you need to divide both sides by -1. so divide 2 and -1 by -1. so it should look like this 2 = -1x

picture is a little messed up but hopefully you get it. Anyway after dividing the -1 cancels out so you're left with x= -2
do you understand if not its okay to ask again. i know ths answer is all over the place!
