I'm 100% sure it's not B, I think the answer is D) Mitosis is a stage in the cell cycle where sister chromatids are pulled apart.

Mitosis is a type of cell division that results in the formation of two daughter cells having same number of chromosomes as compared to the parental cell. A cell cycle is broadly divided into -

Interphase ( where growth of cell and DNA replication takes place), which is followed by M phase ( mitotic phase)

M phase ( where cell division takes place through 5 successive stages in the order- is 1) Prophase, 2) Metaphase, 3) Anaphase, 4)Telophase, and 5) Cytokinesis).

Thus, mitosis is a stage present in the cell cycle, follows interphase and precedes cytokinesis.
