12:53 to 1:00 = 7 mins
1:00 to 1:15 = 15mins
7 mins + 15 mins = 22 mins
So, you were 22 mins early for your meeting.

If you would like to know how many minutes early were you, you can calculate this using the following steps:
12:53 - 13:00 ... 7 minutes
13:00 - 13:15 ... 15 minutes
7 minutes + 15 minutes = 22 minutes
The correct result would be 22 minutes.
