Foraminifera is a phylum of Protists with an external shell, called "test" with diverse shapes. Most of them are marine and live on the seafloor.

Most foraminifera are heterotrophic, which means they feed from other organisms or organic matter.

Some have photosynthetic endosymbionts and are considered mixotrophic (they can produce their own food but also feed external sources), although is the endosymbionts and not them who photosynthesize.

So, given that they don't photosynthesize, Foraminifera are more similar to animals than to plants.
