If f(x) = x2 + x, find f(-3).

Answer: f( -3)= 6

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to replace the variable x for the value given (-3).

f(x) = x² + x

f( -3)= (-3)² + (-3)

Remember that if a negative number is raised to an even power, the result will be positive. in this case: (-3)²= 9.

f( -3)= 9 -3

f( -3)= 6
