There are different types of numbers: they could be natural numbers, whole numbers, rationals, real numbers, and integers. Integers are a set of numbers consisting of positive and negative numbers excluding decimals and fractions. The following are its characteristics:

*Negative numbers mean numbers that are below zero.

*Zero is part of the set of integers.

*Number categories overlap with each other.

*When writing a set of integers, they must be inside a bracket ‘{}’ and with ellipses “…”.

*When adding or subtracting integers, use a number line.
