If you mean miles per day travelled,
William has travelled about 8 days (2 x 4).
Jason has travelled about 20 days (5 x 4).
William -> 400/8 ~ 40 miles/day
Jason -> 500/20 ~ 25 miles/day
so William has travelled more miles per day travelled
