6(x + 1) - 5x = 8 + 2(x - 1)
6x + 6 - 5x = 8 + 2x - 2
x + 6 = 6 + 2x
0 = x
So, x = 0
Hope this helped!

Answer:

x=0

Explanation:

we have

6(x+1)-5x=8+2(x-1)

solve for x

6x+6-5x=8+2x-2

Group terms that contain the same variable and move the constants to the other side

6x-5x-2x=8-2-6

-x=8-8

x=0
