If the decimal form for a unit fraction is a repeating decimal, is it possible for a multiple of that fraction to have a decimal form that is not a repeating decimal?

Answer:

Yes it is possible

Explanation:

My example would be the fraction 1/3. Its decimal form is 0.3333333~. But when you multiple this with 9, it will become 9/3 = 3. In fact, the answer is a whole number. So, technically, it is a decimal form that is not repeating when you report it as 3.00.

no, for example, 2/3 gives you 66.6666666666666(etc) if you turn it into 12/18, the process of putting it in a decimal place will first simplify it, turning it back into 2/3 with 66.6666666666666(etc)
