On the first play, the football team lost 6 yards. On the second play, the team lost 5 yards. What was their total change in yards?

-11 yards because 0-5 is -5 and -5-6 is -11

so they first lost 6 yards so the=at means -6. then they lost five so then it would be -5+-6 which equals -11.
