Answer: At this rate, it would take less than 10 minutes for the temperature of the liquid to rise 52° C.


Explanation:

Given: The graph shows the temperature of a liquid that is being heated during an experiment.

From the graph , we can see the the line is going up from left to the right.

Therefore, the temperature of liquid is increasing at a constant rate [as the line is at same distance from temperature axis and time axis].

In 6.5 minutes the rise in temperature= 26°C

Therefore in 1 minute , the change in temperature=
(26)/(6.5)=4^(\circ)

Now in quarter hour(15 minute), temperature=
4*15=60^(\circ)C

To rise in temperature by 52°C, time taken=
(52)/(4)=13\ minutes, which is greater than 10 minutes.

Thus fourth statement is incorrect about the graph.
