Answer:

rate of change of A= 2

rate of change of B = 3

B has a greater rate of change

Explanation:

In linear function, the rate of change is the same as the slope. To find slope you need to divide the difference of y coordinate with x coordinate of two points. The formula to find slope is:

m= (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1)

Function A have (1, 5) and (2, 7) coordinate. The rate of change will be

m= (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1)

m= (7-5)/ (2-1)= 2/1

m= 2

Function B have (1, 1) and (2, 4) coordinate. The rate of change will be:

m= (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1)

m= (4-1)/ (2-1)= 3/1

m= 3

Hope this helped!
